Tungsten Bucking Bars
Our tungsten bucking bars back solid rivets with the punch of a much larger steel bar in a compact, easy to control body. Tungsten runs about two and a half times denser than steel, so a smaller bar delivers the same rebound behind the rivet gun with less hand fatigue and better reach into tight structure. The range covers straight bars for flat skin along with hook, offset, angled, and low-profile shapes for obstructed work.
Bucking bars are the specialty of our sister company, USA Tungsten. For the complete line, full specifications, and hands-on selection help, browse USA Tungsten’s bucking bar collection. Not sure which bar fits your rivet pattern? Their bucking bar selector matches a bar to the job, and the cross-reference guide finds the tungsten equivalent of a steel or competitor part number. Frequently asked questions
What size bucking bar do I need?
It depends on rivet size and access. Heavier bars back larger rivets, while compact and low-profile bars reach tight or obstructed spots. USA Tungsten's selector and size and weight chart make it easy to match a bar to the job.
Why use tungsten instead of a steel bucking bar?
Tungsten packs far more backing mass into a smaller bar, so you get a solid, stable rivet set with less weight to hold and less hand fatigue over a long session.
Can I get a custom bucking bar size or shape?
Yes. Our sister company USA Tungsten machines bucking bars to specification. Send your dimensions and they will match or build the right bar.
